I checked this out on Snopes.com and found it to be true! The great white did not attack but followed the boat for a short time, lost interest and moved on. Thank goodness for the guy in the kayak! lol
yikes - at least in a kayak all his/her limbs are inside the boat instead of hanging off the edge like a surfer. Sharks think surfers look like sea lions or seals from underwater. I'll stick to diving where I'm underwater and not such a target, thank you very much LOL
