Wonderful, wonderful fellow "Gatherers":
Since having been bitten by the rattlesnake and being so sick yesterday and the day before, my little black-kitty amigo, Plunkett, has been making great strides in his recovery. . .
While swelling at the point of entry of the bite is still a bit red and I believe he will always carry scars there, Plunkett has been off the couch and even outside (supervised, of course) a couple of times today. :o)
He is still limping, but is now actually putting some weight on the leg with the bite. His appetite remains good and he is most definitely awake and alert.
Hubby and I have been continuing to administer the I.V. fluids to him twice a day and his antibiotics. I haven't given him any pain medication since early this morning because he doesn't appear to be in any severe pain.
At this very moment, Plunkett is standing by the front door meowing loudly to get outside -- but he can just meow away because I will not be allowing him to go out until I think he is fully able to get away from anything out there that might chase him.
I'm posting this because I wanted all of you who posted (or simply mentally projected) your best wishes for his recovery to know that, in my humble opinion, it was your thoughts and prayers that saved my precious kitty's life. . . Even if there are some who do not believe that the power of all of that positive thinking could physically cure him, they can accept how muchI was helped through this by it. . .
I cannot express how thankful I am to all of you and how much I appreciate all of your encouragement -- without which, making it through this would have been so, SO much more difficult for me...
God bless you, every one!
:^D

I'm glad I took a chance to scan things so I could see he is improving. :-)
All our love,
jean & Plunkett
I'm glad to hear the great news! And you're welcome. I do believe positive thoughts by whatever name work.
