It has been one LONG weekend. We have been going non-stop. Saturday the house was all a hustle and bustle of excitement because the kids were asking every 10 minutes if it was time to go trick or treating. This began the moment they woke up on Saturday morning. I had to keep them busy all day, so they wouldn't be climbing the walls. We headed out pretty early on Halloween night. Tink and Spiderman needed to go visit relatives first to trick or treat. We thought this would give them a little practice before we actually pulled onto a street with porch lights on and took off. I was so worried about them getting too cold that I put two long sleeved shirts on them both, and two pairs of socks. Aidan asked me if he needed to put on two pairs of underwear! ha ha ha

This is the first year that my son even had a clue what was going on. That reminds me of when Maddie was about 2 1/2 years old and I took her trick or treating. After about three houses she said, "Mommy, I'm tired......I don't want to go to anymore yard sales!" I almost peed my pants from laughing on that one.

The kids had so much fun on their night out. They brought home a big pile of candy. They asked if we could do it again the next night.
Sunday morning came and I woke the entire house up at 6am on accident. I turned the clocks forward instead of backwards (where's my sign!) and I thought it was 8am and we needed to get up and get ready for church. We discovered it was way to dark outside and then discovered what I had done. My husband said, "Well, at least we won't be late for church. We will have PLENTY of time to get ready." Smart@##@
After church we came home and changed clothes and went to the park to get family photos taken. My sister in law is a photographer and I was so excited to get some family photos and separate ones of the kids for Christmas presents and cards ect.
Then we took the kids to the playground to play for several hours. It was a beautiful Fall day. We came home and had supper and I laid the kids down for a movie and they went off to dreamland fairly early. So here I sit typing with my coffee and I am in heaven.
How has your weekend been?

We had a long weekend, too. Mine is the only kid still awake at my house. He's crazy. He said his tummy was hurting, which I think was just an excuse to snuggle with me. Now he's counting his books as he puts them all away (when he pulled one out for me to read to him while we were snuggling, he knocked several others out of the bookcase as well), trying to delay going back to bed.
I think the weekend just wore them out.
The weather was actually pretty good that night.
Thanks for stopping by the Halloween post.
My daughter went out tricl-or-treating with a couple of friends (they are 14), and they had so much fun!
This has been an emotional weekend for our family. Saturday was a fun day, wrestling tournament and trick or treating.
Today was my cousins funeral, very emotional and I've been crying most of the day. The service was beautiful. There was a photo slide show that made us all laugh and cry, he's going to be missed!
Today, I've not been feeling well. Hopefully will be better in the morning so I don't miss anymore work.
