Sunday the 25th was a gorgeous day, so we decided to take the grandkids to Crossroads Village in flint, Michigan. The Genessee County Parks maintains a "village" of transplanted houses, with an old Railroad (including a working 1903 Steam Engine with passenger cars that go back as far as 1870. It runs for a couple of miles thru the forest, with ghosts, ghoulies, goblins and such all thru the trees. It's great fun for the kids. There's a 20-stop tour through the village with treats at each stop, and lots of folks (including Luvly Dotter and the G-kids) show up in costume.
The village also includes a tour boat, a FANTASTIC carousel and a couple of other vintage rides.
Herewith, photos of the best Sunday afternoon I've spent in a while...
