I like making images, (like the eggs on dumpr.net),
but what I DON'T like is having that bright white
spot that shows up on the finished image. I didn't
like it at all, but didn't know how to get rid of it. . . .
until yesterday that is.
:-)
That's when I had one of the "thoughts" that goes . .
"I wonder what would happen if I . . . . . ."
and the rest is history, as some folks would say.
:-)
So I tried my idea.
It worked,
and I thought I would share it here so others
could benefit from this little "tip".
Here it is in "steps". (they're short and easy)
1 - go into any photo editing software that you have
and create a white (or what I like to call a "blank")
square and save it as a JPEG file on your computer.
I make mine the same size as the photos I post.
Now that you have a blank white canvas, you're
ready for the next step.
2 - go to dumpr.net (or wherever you like to go)
and upload that white/blank JPEG file as the
"photo" you're going to use to create the egg image.
Since it's just a white image, that bright white spot
has nothing to contrast against and you'll have an
egg with a plain white body and you're ready for
the next step.
3 - select the white section of the egg and make that
part of the image transparent.
Save that transparent image to your computer.
Now, you have an egg that's transparent and you
can layer it over any photo or image you want to
to make an egg image without that bright white
glare that was always there before.
:-)
I did that with the Easter egg image I posted that
has the pink floral and green stripe pattern in it.
I also like to load the "blank" white image file
into things like the puzzle makers. It makes a
"puzzle" where all the pieces are blank and then
you can go back into your photo editing software
and fill each piece with different colors to make
interesting images.
I like playing around with images on the computer
and I hope this tip is helpful.
