Loren Davis has gotten some attention for being the source cited, along with his wife Celeste Davis, for a story that essentially accuses Barack Obama of being an undercover Muslim spy and terrorist working with Al Quaida. That's a silly kind of rumor to spread around, obviously false to any well-informed, rational person.
It doesn't stop there, however. It seems that Loren Davis is not content to merely slur Barack Obama. He also accuses Hillary Clinton of participating in a socialist satanic conspiracy. Loren Davis accuses almost everyone of being a servant of Satan, you see. Public schools, the NFL (yes, the National Football League), Buddhists, and even most other Christians are secret worshippers of Satan, Loren Davis says.
This leads to some odd places. You see, one of the forms that Loren Davis's conspiracy theories about satanism takes is an obsession with 5 pointed stars. Yes, just a simple star with 5 points, like the kind that you find on the American flag. Loren Davis thinks that that kind of star is a mark of Satan, and a sign that anything associated with that star is itself satanic.
Close your eyes and think hard, now. Which presidential campaign has as the central item in its logo a 5 pointed star?
That's right. It's John McCain.

Whoops! Loren Davis meant to be attacking Barack Obama, but he wandered straight into an attack against JohnMcCain, unintentional though it may have been.
If Loren Davis really believed that a 5 pointed "Sirius Star" is a mark of satanic worship, then he would have to oppose John Mccain's presidential election, on the grounds that John McCain is a secret satanic worshipper.
But, that's not how it worked out. When news of the Loren Davis Ministries wacky ideas about Satan first came to light yesterday, Loren Davis moved fast, and removed the article Loren Davis had written saying that the 5 pointed star is the Mark of the Beast.
Luckily, Loren Davis didn't move quite fast enough. I was able, through Google Cache, to save a PDF version of that article that Loren Davis tried to hide from public view. Go and read it for yourself. It's very, very entertaining, though not in the way it intends to be.
Seriously, do spread the word about Loren Davis. Some American voters are actually taking his attacks against Barack Obama seriously. The main lesson of my research about Loren Davis is that nothing, absolutely nothing that comes out of his mouth should be given any credibility. The more people know about the truly bizarre dimensions of his ideas, the better.
