The best way to conceal information from a person, group or a population for that matter is to keep them docile, medicated and distracted; when all of those said criteria is met you can hide that information right in front of their faces without as much of a howl of protest. Television is often the most effective medium for that, but visual media as a whole is a tool of this as well, but I'll get into that at a later date.
In thumbing through my cellular phone while waiting in a ridiculously long line in the grocery store I came across an interesting news article on CNN.com (the mobile edition) "Chinese scientists command pigeons via remote control" in short, the scientists have succeeded in controlling the flight of pigeons with micro-electrodes implanted in their brains. The scientists at the Robot Engineering Technology Research Center at Shandong University said that the technology allowed them to command the birds to fly right, left, up or down.
How does it work? The implants stimulate different parts of the pigeon's brain, based on signals sent by the scientists via computer that forces the birds to comply with their commands. In the article they mentioned the success of a similar study on mice in 2005. In short the success that they have with this experiment has opened the door for this technology to be put into practical use in the future… "Practical use" what does this mean? Does it make sense to think that this would be limited for use on mice and pigeons, if you answered yes, should it be assumed that they tried it out on you already?
Being that this has been circulated to media outlets (do a query in any search engine, you'll get more than a couple of hits) it can be assumed that the applications for human being have already begun in earnest. Except that instead of using a scary term such as "mind control" they'll clean it up and call it "behavior modification" sounds better, if you want insight on the workings or theories pick up a copy of "Demolition Man" starring Wesley Snipes and Sly Stallone this was all about mind control.
The further we get from 9/11 and the more I read about events surrounding that time period the more skeptical I become. There are more questions that answers, thinking logically I have a hard time reconciling the official government line. Look at the controversy that surrounded FDR and the allegations that he knew of the Pearl Harbor attack in advance for the purpose of drawing the isolationist public into World War II (is history repeating itself). The reality of the situation is that if a story is told over and over again eventually it becomes the truth. I don't fancy myself a conspiracy buff, but if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck usually.... Its a duck. Why are we so willing to accept everything that that is floated to us hook, line & sinker? It come down to two words: mind control.
The claim that mind control has been used against the American populace isn't anything new, but I'll let you draw your own conclusions. Click on the following links at your leisure. Notice the date on the following news article. The Attorney General of the United states at the time John Ashcroft stopped flying on commercial aircraft two months before 11 September 2001, http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2001/07/26/national/main303601.shtml, why is that? Even more telling was the talk of the financial payday on that "fateful day" http://www.wanttoknow.info/011218reuters.orig. Think this is merely the ranting of unstable wide eyed kooks, check out this article in the Washington Post and you can feel free to draw your own conclusions about "mind control" http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/01/10/AR2007011001399.html.
The nagging question that I have is. Are we that much smarter than the common street pigeon? Sometimes I don't know. That is debatable-Am I alone in harboring these doubts? Lets hear it.

Mom is usually right..the whole "duck" thing. I get your direction on stories being told often enough become "truths," but I had questions which have never been answered about 9/11 from the very beginning. These questions were formed as I watched the second plane hit the towers, and have yet to be addressed in the media, let alone answered by the administration.
The rebuttal to the "conspiracy theories" about 9/11 fail in one area; they do not address the questions, but seek to destroy the theories by crying "liberal assault!" They start to weave intricate avenues which could not possibly exist and therefore there are no conspiracies. The move to name calling of paranoid Democrats and other crazies, but they never addressed what I call the "Einstein view."
To explain, many of Einstein's greatest moments were made while making simple observations and asking questions about them. The search for truths in nature's law was made with the simplicity of a child; Einstein himself said that physics, although mired deep with complex proofs, should be easy enough for a small child to understand. This is my belief on 9/11 and brings us back to the whole "quacking like a duck" thing. On the surface, it looks as though the entire armed forces division, along with the air traffic controllers on duty, along with hundreds of average citizens and dozens of spies and their information, all took a siesta. Is America truly that bad at gathering information and then acting on it quickly? How did we ever win the race to the moon or the cold war?
Thanks again for your article and I look forward to your future contributions!
Our society has not yet evolved to a level of consciousness at which the people that are controlling these technologies are smart enough to use them responsibly. "Practical" use is not necessarily ethical use. Pigeons are notoriously dirty birds. Like them, we are a sloppy society because we are impatient and like to implement new ideas hastily with no concern for possible ramifications of end results. The only concern is acquiring whatever money it will take to discharge a new invention . Once the money is there they proceed without conscience, and "practical" is only what serves to gratify those in control. One need only look at the rampant identity theft as a result of technology hackers. Our information security technology is advanced enough that there is no need for this. We even hire foreigners in other countries, some of whom have access to our most personal identification. There is no need for this either, except for saving money. No ethical considerations are even a second thought. If there's a problem, we'll just have the users of the technology buy insurance to protect themselves. More money is generated, we look smart and advanced, but we are ultimately destroying ourselves.
Smarter than the street pigeon? Not quite yet, though our minds have been controlled to think so.
Okay, I know. I'm sticking my neck out but SOMEBODY has to.
You came to a posted article much like this one and showed your contempt for it and even tried to get a laugh out of it. Well your own words shine a much different view over controlling people threw the media don't they! But you wish to play it off on the government and you leave the real bad guys out of the loop when it suits you.
