Storms in the metro area spawned a report of a tornado in the northern suburbs as a line of thunderstorms moved through the region at mid-afternoon.

Oh great..... hopefully it will pass by tomorrow my husband will be flying in to Minneapolis tomorrow evening.

Thankfully my neighboorhood in NE Maple Grove just got a good soaking rain though I always get scared when the sirens go off.

Trudy, it is dark here and gently sprinkling this morning, but a woman I spoke with in the skyway is flying out today and heard there would be no delays for her flight. Keep tabs on the weather here!

What really sucked was that this happened during the ratings period for the local TV stations. I tried to watch the Number 9 at nine last night and they just made fools of themselves. They had Jeff Passolt walking thru wreckage and holding stuff up. It was quite stupid. No, stupid me, stupid me, for even turning the news on during or after a storm. '

And they wonder why people don't watch the TV news anymore.
