Sorry I missed posting yesterday, it was a bugger with a sick child, and of course a host of other complications, because they all must come at once... LOL
Despite this, I did pretty well, sticking to Tea Diet 14 Day Plan with only one exception with a substitution of a snack as I had to have something that I could eat on the go. Hurray!
And though, I missed walking, I got right back out there today with a 30 minute jaunt. The weather is lovely here too, 70 degrees. Uncharacteristicly warm for winter and funny as we just had 20 degree weather and snow on the ground (welcome to Kentucky!)
Here's my biggest challenge I'm having with sticking to the Tea Diet Challenge = my hubby. Wonderful, awesome spouse; terrible eating habits and thinks I'm just lovely the way I am. Which, of course, I have to love him even more for. It's tough, though, to embark on my health quest with very little support at home (thank God for my Gather friends!)
So, my question is, how do you handle a less than supportive spouse (when it comes to living a healthier lifestyle?) One who cooks awesome onion rings and killer artery clogging breakfast too! LOL (Which I managed to say, "looks great, but no thanks" to today :)
What things work for you? I'd love to hear some ideas!
Please keep in mind I live in a very rural location, have three children, and a tight budget... so things like finding local weight loss partners or sticking to routine wallking schedule with someone else would be difficult for me.
Again, thanks for hanging in there with me!
Many hugs,
Barb

I guess that it helps that I do all of the cooking.....
BTW you are doing great not only with the diet, but with the challenge of posting, keep it up!
i don't have a problem with myhsb eating what i make
he will try anything, my son on the other hand is another story
No advice to offer--I'm so sorry! Maybe try explaining to him why you're undertaking this diet and what you hope to achieve - how much sexier you'll feel! how much more energy you'll have! how much you would love him to do it with you so you can spend more quality time together! ???????? Good luck! Keep up the good work!
You are all the bestest!!!
This is very common for any diet. My cintrol group study had the the same problems with their spouses.
Thsi diet and your weight is yours. Remember at all times especially when they get tough and they do get tough:
1. Say I CAN LOOSE WEIGHT!
2. if you fall off do exactly what you did, brew up your next cup of tea
3. use this blog as your support as well, I am always here for you drtea@teagarden.com
Now I will say after a few months many of the spouses started to see the results and joined their spouses. of course, some did not. Do not be concerned. Stick to it, the inches and weight will come off.
I am always here for you all!!!
