I met Jennifer Leigh Sauer recently at an after-class tea tasting at Teance, in Berkeley, CA. She was taking photographs. When I heard her say that her she was publishing a photographic collection on “tea culture”, my ears perked up and I was compelled to introduce myself. I asked if I could feature her work on my Gather.com Tea Culture group and she agreed to consider it. I had no idea how wonderful her work would be.
Jennifer Sauer describes herself as a “tea anthropologist”. She is also an award-winning video journalist and that experience shows in this work.
Some of the images captured that night appear in “The way to tea”. It is thrilling to see people and places that I know featured in such a magnificent collection of images.
A collection of signed art prints from “The way to tea” (available starting July 9, 2007* in hardcover) and from her personal collection are available for purchase and delivery from “The Way to Tea”.
Some images can be licensed for commercial use. Licensing rights are also available for brochures, advertising and point of purchase displays. All books purchased on “The Way to Tea” will be signed by the author. Larger orders will be discounted.
Jennifer Leigh Sauer’s general photography and award-winning video work can be seen at the Jennifer Leigh Sauer website. Please note that there is some adult content (artistic nudity and childbirthing video) on that website.

Jennifer gave a presentation and book signing at Teance a week ago and afterwards I saw some of her watercolor-paper prints of the images. They look really good. I hope to buy one some day.
