A Visit With My Daughter.

My daughter lives in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.  I live in the big state of Texas.  I just returned from a visit to my daughter’s house in Kentucky.  I only have one daughter.  I also have three sons.  My daughter is the oldest of my four children.  My middle son and his wife who live in Chicago were able to join us during my vacation visit.  

I had a wonderful time and have posted a few articles relating to my vacation on separate posts.  The pictures below were all taken at my daughter’s house.

Wow how fortunate to look at that everyday! What a beautiful place and great looking children! I am glad you got out there to see them and how is the wine from her orchard?

Hi Norene. Don't know how the wine is, I'm a teetotaler. She actually sells her grapes to several winerys. I'm going to do an article tomorrow about a tour we made through one.

I live in Ky, and it's a very pretty state. That is one beautiful home she has with an even more beautiful view.

My daughter actually does this sometimes, but there is a special pair of socks that is made just for grape stomping. I'm to old to stomp anything except the occasional ant or two. LOL

Made me a bit homesick for my hills and mountains, Lee. Most of my family was from ky., and many are still there. I have to go find your photo now, lol, but don't know why.... i already have a *pic* of you in my mind :)

OMG! Your daughter has a freaking mansion! Wow! Oh boy, all that green! So lovely. I went to that other post with "your picture" in it. That's cheating! No fair! LOL!

My daughter is being sent to Texas the end of August (it's going to roast her little brain) for work. I'm very proud of her ... she works at a specialty pharmacy as a tech (MedMark/Walgreen's) and they chose her as one of a few people to go to a new site in Texas and train people! She's one of the fastest processing prescriptions and she learns the systems quickly. Not bad for a dyslexic kid who some idiot psychologist told me only had a 90 IQ!

Oh Barb, I'm so proud of her along with you. I am the kind of mom who will brag on my children whether you want to here it or not, LOL. They make me happy and I know your daughter makes you happy too. Our lives changed completely when they arrived on the scene and watching them grow into human beings instead of our little babies has been a real adventure. God has blessed my daughter, she also has an engineering degree that she worked for and earned herself while hubby was in medical school and the pennies were few and far between. I used to send them money from time to time, but it's all coming back to me now. God is a good God.

Beautiful children, beautiful home and beautiful state. I used to go to horse camp in Kentucky and I loved the hills and the views.

Wow, if I were you, I'd be visiting a LOT :) Beautiful home and property, what a lucky lady she is and what a wonderful Mom you are.

Got to ask, did the airline take anything this time? Everytime I see a pair of nail clippers, I think of you ;=D

he, he, he. It's nice to be remembered, even if it is in a strange way. No, this time they didn't take anything. But I did have an adventure....! We made the flight arrangement though one of those "we'll save you tons of money agencies"...big mistake. I had to change planes in Cincinnatti (I live in Texas) then fly to Louisville where my daughter picked me up. It was such a short flight that about the time it got air borne it was decending again for the landing. Coming home I had to change planes in Memphis to get another flight to Dallas. When we landed at the airport I went out to catch the shuttle bus to go to the South Remote parking which is only $7.00 per day at DFW airport and not a bid price and that's where I left my car during this trip. The porter out front told me that they did not have any remote parking that the remote parking was at DFW....I asked him where I was if I wasn't at DFW because that's where my car was. LOL He told me I was at Dallas Love Field .... LOL. Now neither my daughter or I either one noticed the difference betwen DFW and DAL on the itinerary print out....So here I was in the middle of Dallas at Love field when I needed to be at DFW airport which is between Dallas and Fort Worth. I asked the porter if they have a shuttle bus to DFW and he said no that I would have to take a taxi. So I did. The taxi ride from Dallas Love field to DFW cost me $50.00 and I'm actually mad at the reservation agency for even arrangeing such a trip and I'm aggravated at me for not noticing the difference on the tickets in the first place. So, I had quite an adventure just getting home after I got back to Dallas. I live in a rural area that is south of Fort Worth. Oh well, it all turned out okay.

Oh my, I just luved your photos. The Kentucky scenery is absolutely beautiful. It means so much for a parent to know their children are doing well & that life is good for them. I am so glad you shared with us.
