I love the ocean. One day, I want to live near a beach. I would especially like to live in Charleston, Savannah or New Orleans. I've made directories for those cities at Boomja.com, and reading and collecting articles about them is making me want to at least go and visit one or the other of them. But most of all, right now, I want to go to Myrtle Beach. I grew up in SC going to Myrtle nearly every summer. It's really inexpensive to stay there right now, but what I really need to do is to find a good place to camp there. I've promised myself as soon as the book if finished (7,000 words to go), we're going camping somewhere. The attorney Rose, Ken and I work for is closing the office early on Fridays because work is slow, which means we could drive 4 hours and still get to the each before sunset on Friday and come back on Sunday.
It has been nearly two years since I have had a vacation that wasn't a convention and where I wasn't either working as staff, a guest speaker, or a vendor. I love those, but I want to just go some where and be a tourist.
I need salt, sand, and sea.

sounds like a plan lets all go to the beach
I love the ocean. I'm lucky to have lived in Florida all my life and I've never been more than a 20 minute drive away from the beach. I don't know how much longer this will last because my fiance's job may eventually require us to move out of the state, but I'm enjoying it while it lasts! One of my favorite smells is the salt-sea air. Hope you get to take your dream vacation soon!
Somebody pick me up on the way!
I too love the beach. I live in the Pacific Northwest and our beaches are cold and windy! But nonetheless, I love the salty sea air.
I have been up and down the East Coast beaches. Florida was just too darn bright for me! lol I did like the beaches in North Carolina though.
My favorite of all the beaches is Northern California. They have breath taking views and awe inspiring land scapes and the whale watching just can't be beat.
I love the ocean; I'd better, living in Nova Scotia since we're surrounded by it.
oh Rhetta I am so on the same page sista chick. I'm trying to save some money to fly down to Pensacola where my bestest friend can pick me up and I can hang out and go to Johnsons beach and the Florabama for a week of mental health!
What we need is to get a bunch of us Gather ocean-lovers together, some on each coast, and go find a beach and all rent one big place and hang out.
Man, I haven't taken a vacation since 1990! 10
