Things don't make me happy. And they say when you have enough money to have a roof over your head, food on the table and medical care...more money and things will not make you happy. The first thing I would "buy" would be ... I would start a nonprofit that would benefit children. They are the future. And if there are children growing up "without," it doesn't matter that your children "have."
I would give money to my church, then give a large amount to build many, many homeless shelters, as there are too many people living on the streets. Once this is done, I'd love to have a new house (A frame), out in the country, with a small lake!
I would pay off my sister's medical bill's. Then I would pay off my house, which is easy cuz, I don't owe much, lol. Then I would take a vacation to North Dakota to see my Mom =) With the rest, I would start a fund to help other's to do the same.
first thing i would do is help all of those who have lent me help when i needed it and you guys know who you are and then as far as buying this might sound cheap to some of youbut i would spent 200 dollors and buy my husband a set of ramps for his wheel chair so i can take him out of the house more often my needs are simple
I wouldn't buy anything first. First, I would pay up all our debts. From there, I'd renovate our home, and buy a new one, before selling this one. After that, I would buy new cars, and go on vacation, before socking a huge chunk away for rainy days.
I would buy a bigger house. We would be moving back home if we won more than 4 million I think (my husband would get kicked out of the USAF at that point I believe). We would be buying a house big enough to adopt several children.
I wouldn't buy anything until I had settled some debts. As a divorced single parent, I fell into the deep end of that debt pool. That'd have to come first.
I would buy some teeth!! I have a hereditary disorder that caused me to lose my teeth when I was still in my 20's. Because of my disorder I was born without what is known as a "ridge" which means not only do I not have my top teeth anymore, but I can not wear a denture. After buying some teeth, I think I'd donate some of the money so that others with my disorder could get themselves some teeth too!
Oh Jeez, I would buy "peace of mind", no more money worries, freedom to do whatever & go wherever & however my husband & I wanted, no more penny pinching & doing without. The money would buy financial freedom. elaine d.
A nice bottle of champagne to toast my good fortune. Then, depending on how much it was, I'd plan accordingly and pay for a vacation to NYC for my best friend and me. No house or car for me. I'd rent a better apartment and find a reliable transportation service so I could go where I wanted when I wanted.
I don't know that my first action would be to buy anything. I would pay off my house, which I don't have much left to pay on and pay off my car. I would then see about investing it and setting up college funds for my kids. I would then take a trip, but there isn't really anything I want or need right now.
I think I'd buy someone else something they really needed. I don't have any debts and I'm not one to want much material stuff. Maybe I'd take a vacation and go hiking.
I would secure my grandson's college education. Then I would help my daughter and son-in-law buy a new home for their growing family. Then I would renovate some of the rooms in my house and the rest would be for our retirement so that we can travel.
