my daughter is growing up

My daughter set off to go to my mothers house tonight with a friend.  She is attending a wedding in that area tomorrow.  It makes me proud of her she has never driven this far before by herself.  It isnt far just 3 hours but still it is a big deal.  She just took off like she does it all of the time.  The only thing I worry about is it is dark and her driving and trying to see the signs to turn off.  But I know she will do a great job.  I am very proud of her.  Just one more sign out of many of growing up.

My daughter is growing up too. She turns 16 on the 21st of this month. It seems like just yesterday when she was a teeny baby.

My son just turned 18 and was cat sitting for my mom this week, staying in the house by himself and taking care of things. It's good to practice independence.

Lin you are right they will always be my babies. I have exchange students that I feel this way about. here they are an ocean away but I worry about them and they call me for advice. It is hard to have my babies all so far away.

She is 20 many of you know her she is Jennifer S. (she has the cuplid and straw for an icon)
So yes she is old enough just has never wanted to do it before. But all of a sudden she has been talking about wanting her own apartment. She goes to college right now so most of the time leaves in a dorm.

It will always seem like yesterday that she was a baby, I know it seems like that to me, and my kids are 35-45. I will never forget the days when each one of them was born.

I do not have any children but I have a niece and nephew (twins) that will be twenty in February. They live about twenty minutes from me but when I know they are coming to my home or leaving my home my nerves are in an uproar!!!!!!!!!!

If experience means anything, you'll be on pins and needles until she's back home safely. I told my youngest that when he's 70 and I'm 90, he'll still be "my baby"! I remember the day each of by babies was born and it's as vivid as yesterday!

My babies are 32 and 27. It was a bit difficult to see them grow up and leave home, but it is part of life and now they have their own to start worrying about.
My baby is 12 and if he knew I refered to him as a "baby" on gather he'd be pretty mad at me!
