A lot of people have been noticing that points seem to be going slow since the upgrade. Personally, I've noticed a downswing, but I've also not been around much (I spent 3 days in GR back and forth, so wasn't on during those days), and have been not posting as much this week.
Since the update, I've posted:
8 posts- one came with 17 photos attached
4 actual photos- I think? Hard to tell with the update. :p

I haven't been keeping exact track, so I went back to the most recent point check I had, before the update.
On the 18th, I had 21,753 points (at 11pm). That was the most recent pre-update point check. On the day of the upgrade (the day it was available for everyone to use, that is), I got a 300 point bonus from the recent Scary Book chat for the book club.
On the 24th, I reported $370- I don't know if that was exact, but that's roughly 23125. Today, I have 23,407 points.
That means over the past 8 days, I've gone up 1654, counting the 300 points. Now, that averages out to 168 per day, which is great, and about my average lately- for when I'm actually on. But, per day, I know that I have been getting around 50-75 points a day on the days I'm actually here and on the site being active.
On the days I'm not, I'm going up maybe 10-20 points for the small things I do.
My end thoughts- I don't know if my lack of participation is what is hurting my points, or the upgrade. I'd say for me, it's both. I can't complain, though, because I'm still getting points, and not really all that active right now.
I won't be around tomorrow evening, Tuesday afternoon, wednesday afternoon, or Friday afternoon to night, so I can't really judge my participation off the upcoming week, either. Plus, I have to get some stuff done- laundry, finishing touches on the costumes, and making 48 cupcakes for Gilly's class.
Yeah, 48. I'm going to see how much Walmart & Meijers will charge for undecorated cupcakes, cause that's a LOT of cupcakes, and baking, and I don't even know if I would be able to store that many! Thankfully, they're undecorated, but I am providing frosting, sprinkles, and candy to top them with.
I actually am considering the cost vs. the cost of donuts undecorated- I think the kids would love that, too. They can still be decorated the same way, but just seem more Halloweenish.

I'm trying to keep tabs on my points. We'll see what turns up.
My points have been building since July 2nd when I cashed out for a $25 gift card. A lot of those points are from the summer points promo. I did cash out 1 time at the start of October, to test how fast a paypal deposit would be, for $100.
Ugghh....... I think I'll go read a book now. Good luck with your cupcakes.
Here's an article I wrote about it a few weeks ago:

Although it seems like the paypal cash out time takes a little longer for those on points than those on cash - which seems odd, but it's what I've noticed.
Priscilla, it does seem like it would be harder to keep track on cash, because you never have any idea how close you are to bumping up. And, it doesn't move as often! You'll be back on points after the new year with the new system, though, too.
