I thought I would try my hand at a cinquain. There are many forms; I chose the 2,4,6,4,2 syllable style.

Thanks for commenting on my poems,
I feel myself lucky,John...May you get every happiness...
Karen, I'll be watching for your cinquains. Thanks for your visit.
Buzz, you're starting my morning with a warm fuzzy. Thank you so much!
Natalie, I'm happy that you feel I've captured what I was trying for. Thanks!
Susan, will do.
Maria, so many Gatherers are able to say so much with so few words, I found it to be an interesting challenge. Even a sonnet isn't very many words but some of these shorter forms can be a lot of fun.
Again, thank you all for your visits and your comments.
Blessings and best wishes - S.
My friend,
Flying*:
Dorian, yes, I was tempted to try it. It's totally different from the few other forms I've dabbled in.
Lacey, great to see you back!
!
Well, Bonita, you may be shocked by my other cinquain. Thanks for your comment.

Can be so much fun.
Have a lovely day!
I'm so glad you made a comment on my dad's menu - He homesteaded in Wisconsin back in 1920 - I still have the land! He ran a place on Hwy 51 and County K - called The Midway Garage - perhaps some of your relatives knew him. Elmer Titus. Anyway, thanks for this and your comment! Salud
Thanks for answering my Christmas Question #3 of the 25 Days of Christmas Questions! As promised, I always reciprocate comments made to my articles/pics!
Merry Christmas Comments
I mentioned in my comment on one of your 25 Christmas days posts that I don't comment for the purpose of reciprocation, but you're certainly welcome to visit my posts.
If I hum all day tomorrow it will be your fault!

Don't eat too much peacock over the holidays. I understand that peacock a la king is a great way to use leftovers.
Friends is a nice verse to reread on a Saturday morning on Gather.
Barbary, thank you. I enjoyed your post this morning.
So simple...it made me smile.
Thanks, John.
