Pictures of our Glenfiddich Tasting at Gather, Part I

Yesterday afternoon at Gather we were joined by Heather Greene and Brian Farnell of Glenfiddich to host an office tasting party! I have never tasted scotch in my life, let alone a single malt scotch like Glenfiddich! I was anxious to try it out and learn more about the history of the brand as well as the distilling process.

The event wasn't just about tasting Glenfiddich; we were able to appreciate the flavors before trying it by learning about the history and process of making scotch.  Here Heather tells us about the difference between malt whisky and grain whisky.  

This is what we'd been waiting for!  We try our first sample of Glenfiddich, which is a Special Reserve 12 Year. It has a distinctive taste of fruit flavors, pine, and peatiness. Before you taste it, it is important to take in the scent of the scotch.
