Have you Noticed?

Has anyone else noticed a distinct decrease in articles this last couple of days? It must be that everyone is very focused on the picture aspect of things for the time being. Maybe I am just making an assumption? However, the images being posted are amazing to look through. I am getting ready to post a few of my own, although I could never post the amount others are as I am on dial up and I would be here all night long. LOL....So what do you think, will articles be down a bit until July? It may give me some time to think of new and exciting topics.

In addition to the points for pics....there are some major gather wars going on....I have seen more articles flagged in the last couple days then anytime I have been on gather.

The writing is quieter, but the photo publishing is way up, trust me with 7 groups that I have to approve every article and every picture, it has been a wonderful experience to see all of the great photos...

I agree with Lori about the "wars." I'm new to Gather and was blasted just by answering one question. In fact if things continue on that vein, I'm going to be an ex-Gather member before I've even gotten started. I get too much hatred in the world without having to put up with it on the internet, too.

But anyway, thanks for your post. I'll check out the pictures instead of looking at the articles and questions.

There do seem to be fewer articles. I've been enjoying the photos and rather like this approach with Gather. Who knows maybe next month there will be special points for poems? Just a hint!

I've not been writing as much but that's because I've been feeling well enough to get out and when I get home I too tired to write much! So I'm glad about the photos.

It also motivated me to figure out how to resize images so I could post them.

I have always posted more pics than articles because I love photography. It's not that I can't do articles too. I am limited to my time to construct articles. I must admit, I lucked out, I was just playing catch up and I found out I'm going to get extra points!

I don't have a functional camera, and don't look at too many photos unless they're included in articles. I haven't been feeling well and am having difficulty making things I write make sense, so I havne't been Gathering.
I think the articles will be slower this month but will pick up again on the 1st!

As much as I like looking at pictures, I think that I like a combination the best. I don't know, I guess it is whatever floats your boat.

Yes, I've noticed a decrease in articles too, and I have to admit that I haven't been posting as many as usual either. BUT, that's just because I've been trying to focus on making sure that I've returned comments that people have sent me since I've joined Gather. I usually post as least 1 photo a day, if not 2-3, so that really hasn't changed with the points promotion. I'm having fun looking at all the photos though!

I think the writing is down too. I posted a sweet picture of my brother and his new baby and only received 2 comments, I think. Sometimes it seems as though no matter what you do you can't draw viewers/comment makers.
Sorry you've run into the "Gather Slurs". Hey! I think that's a good name for them!
