Prevention is Better than Cure

We have all heard of these sayings since as a child.
Yet the reality in the world today is that Cure is where the money is. Not only is there no money to be made from prevention, there is no money for prevention.
There is no money for the study of cancer prevention, for example. The money is in selling drugs to cure cancer. The money goes to the research to find cures for cancer.
How is it that in the fifties cancer was a rare disease but it is so common now?
There are many theories but nothing conclusive. To get conclusive findings takes money and will lead to prevention. There is no money in prevention and so there is no money to get the conclusive findings.
There is no money preventing people from becoming addicts. There is plenty of money to make when people become addicts.
I am beginning to find this out after I started a web portal to prevent casino gambling activities in response to a couple of casinos coming up in a location near me.
It is an anti-casino gambling, casino gambling prevention web portal.
I am not talking about making money from this; I am talking about not having money to do the work.
The money to prevent terrorism is there because the impact is so dramatic. When it comes to the impact of casino gambling on divorce, loss of jobs, suicide and myriad social ills, the drama is not so visible.
I would say that it is no less horrific.
It gets worse when the government gets behind casino operations. In the name of dubious logic like job creation and the economy, governments around the world are embracing casino resorts.
We can expect the government to control casino gambling but not to prevent it. I would like to propose a new saying in addition to “Prevention is Better than Cure” and “A Stitch in Time Saves Nine” and that is: “There is no money in prevention”
You might not agree with me but I believe with all my heart that the will of the Spirit is for children of Light to fight this growing evil that is Casino Gambling.
It is a new war front in the eternal fight between Good and Evil. You are called to arms.

1). The government has put itself into a cycle of finding cures for about everything but have nothing except "just say no" to everything from gambling to drugs.
2). Funding a prevention solution is like handing out condoms, the majority believes you are condoning sex not trying to prevent aids.
3). There is not a single lobbiest regarding any prevention programthat I am aware of. That should say what the congress and the rest in DC are up to.
4). In political terms; No kick-backs, no funds.
