I already have one daughter in college and another will be going in 2010. I will follow the same steps we took when my first child started college for my 2nd child. We started at beginning of the last year in highschool with a organization called VSAC and had a lady help us through it all. They are very helpfull with everything and will make sure that your child has everything they need to get started including financial aid. We took our time throughout the year without any strss or hassels thanks to VSAC. We aplied for alot of Gov. Grands and scholarships that are avaialbe to most students but sadly many parents do not know of theses funds and do not get involved as they should to get the best finacial packages. We were able to get all of the funds my daughter needed , i dont have to pay a cent and now my daughter is in her 2nd year thanks to all the help we got throughout that last year in highschool.
