Putting Cherry through College

I paid my own way through college and am still paying for it. Sure, my parents would have helped me if they could but they didn't and still don't have a lot of money. I want to be able to send my kids, Cherry and Breylan to college.  I am planning on starting a 529 plan for them and am currently doing my research. I would love for my kids to be able to go to college and not stress over the financial aspect. I remember being in tears because a loan got denied because between my parents and I we made too much money. Ha! What they didn't understand was that I had been working full time for 2 years before I went to college so that income was going bye-bye. Bottom line is that I don't want my kids to struggle. $25,000 would be a great start for them.
