I would rather do something to improve my life and that isn't it. Talking with all of my friends or searching for a job...on myspace or facebook...that is about all I do on this thing.
Sometimes I get lucky and actually find jokes, history things or friends on here. My knowledge is very limited. I wouldn't even be on Gather if it hadn't been for a friend telling me about it and I haven't even seen his stuff on here lately
I can't believe that people are insulted when they are asked if they want the discounts...I love being asked. I am comfortable being a senior...although I don't always act or feel like one. I did this morning though
Hi everyone, Can't stay to long as I have to be at church at 8 am. Our choir sings at the 8:15 service. It is already 30 out here after reaching 47 yesterday. Trouble is it is going to plunnet to single digits again mid week.
Shells, I am actually feeling a lot better, I'm simply not back to 100%. It tends to be the worst in the morning. It's actually entertaining. My voice drops a few notes and I am able to hit notes I wouldn't be able to otherwise (like an F, an E, or sometimes a low D).
I have a lot of self control then...I would rather have a warm body than pictures online. I guess that is why I am single...can't find a warm body that I want to warm up too...lol
I will miss church again today. Still can't shake the bronchitis...and old age visited the back this morning. I am still trying to stand straight...That is the senior visiting me this morning.
Ooh, I'm envious of the warm weather. Then again, I just spoke to my friend down in KC, MO and she said the high was 72 where she was. I am in disbelief.
I am a natural alto but sing tenor in my hospital choir the Heartbeats. Once in awhile I fill in for the soprano section at church because we have more altos than sopranos.
Kimberly, I hope so as well. I know that it just takes time. Luckily, I'm beyond the majorly contagious portion of it so I don't have to keep looking silly by wearing a mask around all of my patients.
As soon as the weather warms a little more I am going to rescreen my back porch...by myself...I have never done it before but there is always a first time.
Eh, luckily it's simply a cold and not a flu. I did make sure to get a flu shot this year. It's mostly just an upper respiratory tract infection. I have stayed on top of it and never let it get tremendously bad.

Karen, I am tackling my kitchen dining area when it warms enough to open up the house. I intend to refinish my cupboard myself. That will mean a lot of sanding and staining.
You are right about the desires Dan...but it is the self control that keeps me from doing something stupid. Also the abuse from childhood and marriages will make you look at things differently. There are more important things in life than giving into desires.

Kimberly, the funny thing to remember is that a mask does very little to protect someone. Simply, it just helps against some of the larger respiratory droplets. Most everything else goes through.

My mind isn't always in the gutter but when something is said or seen...it will go there in a heart beat. That is just my way. I am a little quicker than I need to be at times. Haven't learned to keep my mouth shut when I should...but I am doing better. Maybe in 20 years I will learn to control it too.
Lol, we were playing with one of the "innocent" residents earlier. She, like myself, is very visual, so if you mention something, she can't resist picturing it in her mind.
I do that too. And sometimes on here someone will say something and it is hard for me not to reply to it. That is why I picked on you this morning about the laptop. Hope I didn't offend you. It is just my way
Man, I bet that would hurt if you were hit by one. I imagine they could kill someone if they were hit just right by one. I am not sure I would like that...even though they are pretty
I am sure you do Dan. I try to keep it cooler in the house and put some extra clothes these days. I don't like a high electric bill and it has been well over $200 these past few months.
