Maybe It Wasn't The Smartest Idea To Walk Outside.

I had been at the hospital for just over 30 hours until I left around lunchtime today. I had been up last night on call for surgery. Well, I don't know if it's because of sleep deprivation or a complete lack of understanding of this thing that midwesterners call "winter" but I decided to walk from the hospital to the offices across the street to go see more patient wearing just scrubs when the temperature was 21 degrees (feels like 9) according to weather.com. Alright, so grabbing a jacket might have been smart...

Yes, probably would have been a good idea...Hope you have warmed up by now...lol. You would love the fire I have going right now. It is warm and peaceful and I am enjoying it.

Brrrr! You are making me cold just thinking about going outside. It is finally getting colder here and will be even colder by the end of the week. I just wish we would get some snow and then I could deal with the cold.

I can't drive with a coat on, but I've learned to put it back on when I'm walking across the parking lot...the windchill is what gets me!

Oh my goodness, Dan.........bet you got a "rude awakening" when you went outdoors in the blistery cold weather, with NO coat or jacket on.....LOL!!!!!!!! We, here in Iowa, are going through Arctic temperatures......it's gotten as bad as -38 wind chill here......not a bit fun, to say the least! Try and stay warm, and don't work too hard!

Welcome to Michigan winters you Californian!!!! It is supposed to be colder in the next couple of days so please wear a coat. Stay warm and drink some hot tea or cocoa. That will warm you up fast.

You are now a certified northerner! To a northerner, a jacket is optional no matter what the temp. I'm new here, so I don't know how long you've been in Michigan, or why in the world you left California for Michigan, but like you, I'm originally orignally from a warmer place (Oklahoma) and am now right underneath you in Indiana. Kids here wear shorts if the high for the day is supposed to be in the 60's-no matter that it starts out at 40. 50 is still shirt sleeve weather, and at 40 you maybe put on a light jacket. When it get's down to the teens you bring out the winter coat for the first snow, and then as mentioned above, it is optional after that.

budle up ~ if you have to layer your clothes so you can pull off layers as you warm up ~ keep warm it going to get colder they say ~
