Good Morning Dan and everyone...I am terrific...I usually wake up in a happy mood and today is no different. I am just thankful to be alive and go to work. It could be so much worse...I could still be married...lol. With the right person that wouldn't be a bad thing but I guess it isn't in the cards for me. Anyway...have a wonderful and blessed day. I must get ready for work now.

I think a lot of people are busy posting there own, I know I am. I have some more to put on today. I took a couple days off to get out side and get some before the weather turns. We do have a little while left before it gets too cold to stay out very long.

I am going through my 400+ emails from Gather and hopefully that will give me a great amount of points towards the 800 or so I need this month to get on cash option *crossing fingers* Also have the insurance adjustor coming out to estimate water damage in our master bedroom due to a crappy roof job done by a previous owner and all the rain we had the first 6 1/2 months of the year :)

Eh it's ok, our deductible is only $500... I should have changed it in February to $250 but our premium would have gone up so it probably would have amounted to $500 anyways, so it's ok. As long as it is fixed and it stops raining in our bedroom ;)

I need about 1000 more points until I can make just the lowest of the new payouts.

I'll be substituting the rest of the week. Maybe if I put everything together I'll have enough to pay the student loans payment this year.

Dan, are you ready for pediatrics? Years ago in almost another lifetime, I tried nursing school. I was fine until I had to work in pediatrics. That broke my heart. At least as a teacher, I get to spend time with the little ones when they are feeling better.

I spent a night in a children's hospital when I was eleven, waiting to have my tonsils out. My room was right next to the pediatric burn ward. Those sounds and images never leave you - never.

True! Are you nervous at all? I got nervous each semester when we would go into the schools. But then, I tend to worry too much about what others think of me too. Education is a field that reputation and politics is very involved, at least here it is.

I ordered a palm handheld yesterday and it should come today or tomorrow. I will need to buy a few programs from it so I may need to eat very cheaply the next few weeks unless I can raise some money on gather.

Dan, I'd be more worried if you WEREN'T nervous. You will never know it all - sometimes, the best thing you can say to a patient and a parent is something along the lines of, "I don't know, but I'm not giving up until we figure this out. I'm on your team and I'll pull in any experts we need to win the game." I knew a doctor, once, who actually came right out and said, "To my patients, I AM God." And maybe that was true, in a sense - he was good, and he saved both of my grandparents' lives on separate occasions. But the arrogance always drove me a little batty. I used to think skill was the ONLY thing that mattered, but as I get older, I appreciate the importance of attitude and compassion more and more.

I wish I could find my camera! I am not getting to take part in all these fun contests because my camera is "missing". I had used it to take pictures of my granddaughter when she was bruised by her mom's boyfriend and of my resulting bruises when I tried to talk to my daughter about it. Then it conveniently came up missing along with our extra house key. Things that make you go hmmm...

I saw one "cheap" on sale either at Walmart or at Big Lots this week. Well, in the weekly ad. I need to buy another one, just in case I don't find my old one. I can't afford what I truly want, so I'll take a cheap one and build up. Actually, I want 30 cheap ones so that when I get my own classroom, we can use them in the class.

I just graduated with a degree in Elementary Education. I'm still substituting right now because of the lack of jobs in my area. I have kids at home, one is a senior, so moving is out of the question. So.... subbing it is. I have received three calls this morning already wanting me to sub the rest of the week. I already had them scheduled though.

I rarely go in Walmart, but since they are the only place locally that sells some items that I need, I do go every now and then. The joys of living in a small town! Very few options to buy somethings. Especially ink cartridges. I tend to go through a lot of those.

I remember you saying that KD. When my grandma was a teacher (during the Great Depression), she taught for a year for no money and no job security as to whether she'd be hired back the next year. Luckily, she was good enough to be hired.

KD, often, people shop there because they either get things very cheaply or they don't have to go to multiple places to get all the things they need. Unfortunately, few look into the business practices of Walmart. There is a reason why their products are so cheap. It would sicken you if you understood what's behind those low prices.
