Okay, it's the first weekend of April, which usually signifies spring regardless of what the calendar says. I know all of you are completely capable of making your own "to do" list, but consider adding one of these (good or bad) to your plans.
1. Sleep in. I hope to do that in the morning. It's been a struggle to get up everyday this week. I'm making a point to stay up tonight so that I can enjoy staying in bed later. (Of course, chances are, I'll wake up at 6 a..m. bright-eyed and bushy tailed, but at least I will have given it my best shot.) If you can't sleep in, work in an afternoon nap.
2. Do your taxes. I hope I'm not the only one on gather that has put this off. And, to be honest, I'll probably put it off another weekend, too.
3. Stop at a yard sale. I rarely go, but I'm going to try to take in one in the morning. I don't have a particularly one selected, but I I'll just choose one that's interesting while I'm driving to the grocery store. It's a chance to meet some new people and you never know what you might find.
4. Watch smething educational on television. Most of you probably do on a regular basis...but my weakness is stupid t.v. This doesn't have to be something heavy like PBS or the History Channel. Maybe I'll learn to cook something off the Food Network or see what's learn about Latin America on the Travel Channel.
5. Visit a house of worship. If you do this regularly, visit a different one. You don't have to commit or take communion or anything. Just take in the music, the atmosphere, the people. You've fed your mind, this will feed your soul.
6. Reconnect with an old friend. Maybe you've got a relative or a former neighbor you haven't heard from in a while. Here, I'm not talking about major fence mending. Just think about people you were once close to but haven't heard from in a while. Give them a call or e-mail and let them know that you're thinking about them. You'll brighten the weekend for two people...you and the person you call!
7. Visit a state park. They're almost alwasy free or cheap. No time to pack a picnic? Run through a drive-through or just grab a snack. Take a short walk. If it's not too cold, swing on the swingsets. Let your kids push you for a change. I bet you don't remember how much fun it is!
8. Tell the most important person (or animal) in your life that he or she is the most important person. We too often assume people know how we feel.
9. Eat a treat. Ice cream, loaded nachos, southern fried chicken. Don't worry about calories or cholesterol. Just this once, enjoy. And have seconds.
10. Go to the library (or the bookstore) and check out a joke book. Make sure you have something to laugh at in the coming week.
Have a great weekend, everyone!

I am also in a little skit this weekend, I hope it goes well in church and the congregation gets the message.
Wishing you a great, peaceful and relaxing weekend. Thanks for the tips :)
Kim...break a leg in your skit!
LOL...I notice there's no mention of spring cleaning on your list?
Hope you have a good weekend. I'll be looking forward to that email.
