I've lived in this place for about a month and a half. I like my apartment. The layout works well. Everything is slowly finding it's right place. Packed up and donated a lot that I didn't want anymore. It's starting to feel like home. That's what is happening inside my apartment. Outside my walls is a little interesting.
Below me, I have a college student, his live in girlfriend and their baby. She works most of the day. He plays video games most of the day. The same game every day. I can hear the sound effects. Not loud enough to annoy me but loud enough that I know it's the same game. I usually turn on the radio or something. That works until the baby wakes up. The baby is barely 6 months, he still sleeps a lot but I would think the father would play with the baby more. Just my opinion on that one. She comes home about 4:15 / 4:30 and they fight about money and house cleaning. Happens everyday. Now I admit, she has some valid points from what I can hear.
My livingroom which is now being used as an office, faces the road on one side and has a house made into apartments next door. The man that has the apartment with the window facing right in my living room works nights. He comes home about 7:30 a.m. His table is set by that particular window. He watches everyone as they leave for the day. I don't leave, I am home. I work from home. I love the window on that side open for the morning sun. It sucks to have to close those blinds about 7:30 because I have plants that love morning sun. He sits at that table until about 10. From what I can tell eating and reading the paper. To each their own but you would think, he would respect the person or people in my apartment knowing those windows match up and we can see back and forth. I don't really get any joys out of watching people in their homes.
That's just two of my neighbors. We have college kids moving in downstairs next door. From what I can tell, this won't be a quiet block much longer!
