Well, I don't see the article, but maybe I didn't go back far enough in the stacks. What's the most important news out of Iraq these days? The Surge, said to be doing well by a couple of surge supporters posing as critics this week in the NYT isn't it. I wonder how much they paid those two to go through that farcical theater. To get a stable Iraq, the streets is not where our focus should be right now, this is. Bush can pour as many American and Iraqi lives as he wants down those oil wells, but until a viable government rules, and is viable enough to exist without us making it exist, nothing he does will matter. Here's the article that you are referencing to and if you read the whole thing they do say that there is still work to be done where the government is concerned.
I love the insinuation that they were paid to write that article. Why is it when there is an opposing veiw they had to have been paid off or they are just plain stupid.

Hey Charles, The pay thing was a reference to the military paying for good stories to be placed in the press without any reference to being paid articles here a while back, maybe you don't remember that, and was supposed to be a joke, but those two were not critics of surge, were not critics of the Iraq war, and went to smarmy lengths to make it sound like they were, and they were just won over by how great things were going. It's dishonest, and it's really slimy journalism. I put up an article about them, and the facts on them, the other day.
