I went from have no new messages to 97! It seems that some of the ones' that I have marked as read have "unread" themselves! Did this happen to anyone else??!?!?!?

Most people don't realize that computer files, especially email, are not "deleted" -- they are just flagged as deleted so that the client doesn't see them any more. Eventually that space will get overwritten, but not immediately.
As IT manager for the company that I work for, the first thing I do every morning if flush and erase the email cache on our server so that "deleted" email no longer exist. With the screwball antics of our government these days requireing data retention and deleted emails, I'm taking no chances with my friends and employees. Until I get a direct subpoena or "National Security Letter", I will continue wiping our servers clean every day.
Selene, I usually let mine pile up too, but not that much! I am with ya on the sapm thing!
