A Nights View

 

Many times we go out into the night but never stop to see what's happening around us.

The world lives on even though we don't see it at night.

These photos were taken at night using a phoenix Drilled light ring

 and my Sony Cyber shot camera.

I didn't have to go far for these images. Only to my back porch.

Although the images are hard to capture with the different light source,

 I believe that the effort was worth it!

This grass hopper was sleeping on the petals of a Zinnia.

 I didn't know they slept.

Those are lovely photos! The colors are just gorgeous! These are with a digital camera?

I haven't done night shots like that before, but I don't have one of those nifty little whatchamacallits. I use ambient light in most of my photography at the moment. My equipment is sparse, but functional. :-)

your grashopper is a katydid. do you know what that blue flower is? its awsome looking. these are some really cool shots! i have a heard of light rings but have never seen one. If you get bord id love to have a article on it at digital cameras and photography with a photo of it in the article.
