I hear a lot about the first Afro American President in the news. I voted for him not because of race, but if that were the reason then I voted for the white half. The half that worked to send him to school and raised him, not the half that left. The fact that president Obama is half black and half white seems to be erased in the mind of the black community. They miss a point, the point that a white grandmother was the driving force behind his upbringing.
