Help? Please?

Now, I'm not exactly what you'd call a computer illiterate; I know how to do some pretty cool stuff.

However, all of that stuff that I know how to do, I've learned from tutorials that I've found on the interwebs. So today, when I wanted to figure out how to do something cool, I followed through with my usual method of finding tutorials; by Googleing them.

However, while I could find tutorials, they all required software that cost 30 to 70 bucks, and I really don't have the money to buy that right now. So, I was hoping that maybe someone on Gather was a computer genius, who could teach me how to do it; the free way.

My question is: Do you know of anyway to make a video into a screensaver? Like for example, I want to make one of my Darkblade Media logos into a continuous loop that played every time my computer was idle; how would I do that?

Really'd appreciate it if you guys could help me out. :^)

Just upload that video to Youtube (if it's not on there already), get the embeded code for one of the smaller players (as it fits the post best) and put that code in the HTML where you want it to be.

Or try this...Convert AVI to Screensaver Freeware I haven't used it, because I don't like things that just eat up RAM, but just thought I'd share with you.

It works to a certain extent; the screensaver looks cool, but the software has to always be running, and it's pretty flimsy software. Plus, I was kind of hoping that I'd be able to save it as a SCR file, but you can't. Thanks for the suggestion though. :^)

Theoretically, the free way would be to break it into pictures, then place the pictures in a specific folder, then use "My Pictures Slideshow" in your screen saver. That would be the simplest way. I am going to look and see if there is another way.

Well. I just figured it out, and while I still can't save it as a file like I'd like to, its working for the moment.

Besides, if I were to break it down as you suggest, it wouldn't move anywhere near as smoothly.
