Just this past Friday, director Spike Jonze released his long awaited adaptation of Maurice Sendak's beloved children's book "Where the Wild Things Are." It was a film that I personally enjoyed quite a bit, however, only two days after having seen the film, I am already sick of hearing about it.
First, they were complaining about how the film had no plot. Like I said in my review, the film had a plot, it was just an ambiguous one. Sometimes I just wish that people would open their eyes a little to what they're watching. Maybe if they would do that, then District 9 would have been the highest grossing film of the summer...
Next, they were actually complaining about how the film didn't get a G rating. SO? No one complained when The Incredibles got a PG rating? So why in the name of god would you be complaining now????
Then, they started to complain about how it wasn't for kids. DUH! I could have told you that!!! I mean, sorry to be rude here, but really people; think before you speak!!! What about that trailer made it look like a children's film? Was it the fact that they used a soundtrack comprised of popular adult songs, rather than the latest from the Disney Channel?
Maybe it was the fact that the trailer shows us giant monsters getting hurt, and crying. Because I'm sure that as a kid, I would have loved to see a film where the big colorful monsters started to cry...
Maybe people just need to start doing a little research before they take kids to see movies. Then you wouldn't have to complain, and I wouldn't feel the need to complain, about your complaining.
Wow, that sounded bad.

A lot of those types of movies are not really greared for kids more for adults.
