This bizarro super villain romantic musical comedy stars Neil Patrick Harris as the dastardly and love struck Dr. Horrible, Nathan Fillion as the jock superhero Captain Hammer, and Felicia Day as the red-headed unrequited love interest for the wannabe-evil Doctor.
It was released in three episodes adding up to a total of 43 minutes of a really funny musical comedy for geeks, albeit one with ONE HECK of a downer for an ending. I can only hope that some of the rumors I've been hearing about a part four being made are true.
The initially online only videos were an enormous success both online and with the subsequent DVD and soundtrack release. This project was so cool (and still available for free viewing online) that for the DVD they recorded all the commentary as an entire new musical score! I so totally have to get my hands on that.
Hopefully, this, as well as the videos on sites like Funny or Die, will lead to us seeing more experimental creator-controlled content on the internet popping up from bigger stars. It'll be interesting to see who out there has been holding back what they can really do.
Overall though, this is really something that you should check out. The songs are memorable, and the jokes are hysterical. It's a real treat for geeks like myself.
You can check out Joss Whedon's fab "Doctor Horrible's Sing-Along Blog" right here.

Is this the one you were talking about the other day?
Yes it is. I think it would be a lot of fun.
Right where?
Last I checked, it is available on Hulu.com
Thank You ... was just curious as there was nothing in Palmer's post except .....
"You can check out Joss Whedon's fab "Doctor Horrible's Sing-Along Blog" right here..."
Sorry, I didn't realize that the embedded code from Hulu hadn't copied. I'll try to edit it and put it up again. Sorry about that.
Thank You, I was able to find it with Ashley's help and this time your edit worked.
Did you like it? Or have you yet to see it?
This is easily one of my favorite shows, it's amazing, it has neil pactrick harris, the songs are amazing and did I mention its amazing??
I watched it awhile ago, and while I love musicals I just couldn't get into it....maybe because I still see Neil Patrick Harris as Doogie Howser.
Well that sounds interesting.
I'll take a look!!
Trust me, you'll be glad you did.
