Yeah Sue that is a good promise...that is probably one I hear all the time. That was what i was gonna put on here at first...but i also this one!! :)

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me

I think God told us to do unto others as we'd want done unto us to show us that though He loves us unconditionally, unconditional love does not mean we should slack off.

Leslie, I believe we are all here for a purpose. God gave
all of us the word of wisdom. And the commandments we
should follow, walk in His footsteps and do what is right
in the eyes of our God. He will forgive us of our sins and
He has given us a plan of salvation. We can find that in
the word of wisdom, the Holy Bible tells us all we need to
know and learn about His plan of salvation. Trust in me
sayeth the Lord! And I do trust that He is my redeemer,
my savior. Love one another is the greatest commanment
and God showed how much He loved us in John 3:16,' For
God so loved the world, he gave his only begotten Son,
that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but
have everlasting life,' This is the plan of salvation for all of
us, isn't that what God said? If any of you has sinned beg
His forgiveness, 'with a brokenheart and a contrite spirit'
this is what he asks all of us to do. How hard can it be?

Jesus Christ said, "These things and greater things shall you do." This was to show us that through the Christ within us nothing is impossible. This is contrary to what many would have us believe, but Christ himself said it, and I believe it.

Jesus paid it all.

That if I ask in Jesus name according to his will it will be given.

It's not exactly a promise, but I still hang on to "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me..."

Ask and you shall recieve, Seek and you shall find, Knock and the door shall be opened. ( We have to remember though to be patient because it is in his time as he purposes and wills for our good)

God had promised us a hope and a future and that He wouldn't harm us. That He would be found when we seek Him.

17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.


But, as I contemplate that most precious promise of all I can't help but think it might be good for us to also consider one of His other promises ... not sure it's my favorite, and probably is not the favorite that comes to mind right off for many of us. In regard to this promise of God, contrary to what some may think, we don't wish it on anyone ... not anyone at all, but we have no say in it whatsoever; it's a choice we just simply cannot make for anyone but ourselves. Still, it's a promise just the same and, in fact, for me it validates and makes more firm His promise to us in vs 16.


John 3:18
18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son.
