Have you ever noticed that it's never just one thing that goes wrong? That it always comes in batches. Well that basically describes my week right about now. My husband and I were already struggling with where God wants us, and His will for right now in our lives. Then we get a bill for an MRI. We emptied our savings account to pay for it and still have some left to pay. Then the battery in our car stops working. Not only do we have to replace it, but we bought this car used. So the stereo has a security system where if the battery is reset then we have to enter a security code. Guess what? We don't have the security code. They didn't give it to us when we bought the car. So we have to take it to a Mitsubishi dealer and pay them so we can get our stereo working again. We didn't get to put any money in savings this week. It's just like thing after thing piled on top. So why is it that when it rains it pours?
I know that we are lucky. There are much worse things that could be going on. I know that all things will work together for our good. I know that God is trying to teach us a lesson; I just hope that we learn it before long.
To end this article up, I'm going to post the words to my favorite Petra song, 'No Doubt.' They are so relevant to anyone who's struggling or going through a time of testing. Let me know what you think:
There are times when you feel like you can't go on
There are times when you feel like giving in
And there are times when you feel like you can't try anymore
There are times of trouble in believing
This test of your faith will last
As long as it takes to pass
Till you have no more doubt you'll endure
And your faith will emerge true and pure
(Chorus)
No doubt it'll be alright
With God it'll work together for good
No doubt in the end it will be understood
No doubt it'll all work out
With faith He can move any mountain for us
No doubt in the power of Jesus
And after all is done we find out
All we really need to have is no doubt
There's a time to take a reckless leap of faith
There's a time to be cautious and to wait
And there's a way of learning from the past
That this time of trouble won't last
And sometimes we want to think we know
The ways He will choose to make us grow
But it's never the way of our choosing
And we can't always see what He's using
There will be winters in the seasons of our soul
With a cold and bitter wind that chills our lives
But our faith can be building a fire
That will warm us till springtime arrives

By the way, I have had several MRIs and always pay the monthly minimum until it's paid off. My 20% after insurance is a chunk, but I never have a problem and I'm not charged interest. Something to think about.
