Movie Review: Premonition

My husband and I decided we wanted to see a movie yesterday.  We have a $2 theater that we frequent here as regular movie theaters are just TOO expensive.  We looked at Yahoo to see what movies were playing, and we saw the movie Premonition.  I looked at the plot, and also looked at the grade that the critics and the Yahoo users gave the movie.  It received a C from critics and a C+ from Yahoo users.  I don't usually take much stock in what critics say, because I don't usually agree with them.  My husband and I decided to go. 

 As the movie started out, I really got in to it.  I enjoy sci-fi type movies, and this looked like it was going to qualify.  In my head I was picture something similar to "Final Desitination."  As the movie wore on, I started to get upset with the main character.  She didn't change anything.  She would have a day in the future and a day in the present, and she wouldn't do anything that would have changed the future!  I don't know if there was supposed to be a lesson in that we can't change fate or if it was just part of the plot. 

 I won't spoil the ending for those of you who haven't already seen it or are planning on seeing it, but the ending to me, ruined the whole movie.  The ending was the worst part of the movie.  This movie turned out to be more of a drama then a sci-fi, thriller, or action.  I was disappointed becuase I thought that the previews made this movie out to be something different. 

 All in all, I rate this movie about what the critics would.  I give it a C.  I wouldn't recommend going to see it unless you go in knowing that it's not quite going to be what it looks like.
