A week ago I was flat on my back, feeling as if I were being cut in two. Excruciating pain stopped me for minutes at a time after every little movement. I wondered if I'd ever be able to walk again! Having had some success at removing lesser back pains with the EFT I've been learning, I chose to refuse to panic, and to try the EFT tapping procedure on this pain. Bit by bit I got my hands into position to begin tapping, and after about 50 minutes I was able to sit up without that agony; after another 25 minutes of tapping work, I was able to stand and walk with a cane. I did enough more tapping so that I could move more freely, and then - the real test - to lie down again, and see if I'd be able to get up without going back into pain.
The whole procedure - several hours that day, then sleep, more rest, more tapping over the next two days (and taking the time off work was vital; as was taking time off computer), and I was taking walks, doing a little work in my garden, and ready to go back to work.
EFT is an emotional healing technique that happens to have physical results fairly often. In my case, the emotions had to do with "stab-in-the-back" issues combined with an astrological pattern that allows me to enjoy debating - but which also invites, on occasion, some backstabbing reactions. With all the rest and soul-searching time the back pain had given me, I was able to stand back and see my astrological energy in another way: instead of using my Mars-conjunct-Mercury [both in Aries] for debate, I needed to find a different outlet - and I realized with joy that there's a great outlet for my "word [Mercury] warrior [Mars]" energy in the form of literary competitions.
I found it necessary to do shamanic [spiritual healing] work in addition to the EFT, because, in "scanning" the energy of my back I could see that my personal shielding needed to be upgraded. That's because I often use my heart and mind in a healing/protective mode when I'm in a situation where others might be unprotected, such as my library job. I sometimes "take on" difficult energy so others don't have to suffer (as so many people do, and as mothers and grandmothers often do automatically) - an old habit from dysfunctional family childhood days, in part: I was the "lightning rod" who took on punishments. Some of the challenges my back was making plain to me were unhealed injuries from that old pre-Alanon/Adult Children recovery times. What a storehouse of pain to transform and lessons to expand, a healing challenge like my back episode can be!
I'm now, after the healing of that excruciating back pain, so enthusiastic about EFT that I'm scheduling an EFT master to do a program for the library, and hope, as well, to set up a workshop for myself and several very interested friends. I see the amazing practicality of this work, and think that any workplace would do well to have some EFT training for emergencies. Since I'm an animal communicator as well, and often encounter situations where it would be good for the animals' humans to know some healing techniques, I'm pleased that the EFT search engine includes so many descriptions of animal healings. I now refer my clients to the EFT site when I see they have potential to learn more about self-healing and companion-animal healing. This healing method can be used on non-emergency situations, as well as on personal physical /emotional emergencies and longer-term challenges. I'm just personally delighted with the thought that this summer I'll be able to garden and garden and garden, healing the stiffness all the while. I'm working on several issues for myself right now, including more healing for the hip so badly bruised in a bad fall a year ago, and still complaining. There's more work to do on the back, as well, as I unearth other old emotional patterns that need conscious transformation. But that's all right. EFT is, for me, an eminently practical way of helping myself keep on keeping on.

Glad to hear your back is feeling better, Carolion.
Gerry - I enjoy the quick healings, but since I work with so many others' challenges, I have a deep appreciation for the time it sometimes takes to integrate new emotional/physical/mental/spiritual alignments - and the time it sometimes takes to receive memories and healing inspirations from the "forgetting zones".....
So the slowness of which you're speaking is something I no longer mind.
I see, though, that EFT zooms to the rescue with all speed in emergencies - thought apparently some are resistant to it for whatever reason.
That's true of any healing modality!
Richard, thank you! I appreciate your good energy.
From Beck to Becky - I believe the EFT WORKS! membership and contributors will increase, Becky - This is too useful, too practical, to go unnoticed for long. The main block might be a fear or worry that what seems like a "miraculous" cure method might be a scam.
So just a steady flow of healing EFT articles keeps the energy alive and available.
I am in the middle of family illnesses, dramas and traumas, not the least of which is my granddaughter's custody hearing for her 20 month old son which Alabama took while she was in the hospital and has refused to return. She gets her day in court on Friday we hope. Things went so badly in January that we are almost afraid to expect much this time.
I called my granddaughter tonight and she sounded calm and happy and reported she has been doing meditation to relieve her anxiety around this issue and some EFT as well.
Yay! She has been balky about it so I'm thrilled to hear she is doing both. She sounded so much better than she has for 3 weeks.
Please hold good thoughts for Emily, Kaden, his grammie and papaw who are flying down to be present in the courtroom and for their 3 kids left in town at friends, except for the sick one who will be with me. And me as well, please. I believe in the strength of combined intention for good. Bless each of you and your own needs over this next few days.
Oh, by the way, there is a way to change aberrant response to EFT. You do a reversal round of tapping first. It simply is stated as "Even though EFT may not work on my issue, I totally and completely love and accept myself as I am. variation is: I choose to try it anyway and see what happens.
As I understand it, this relieves the perceived pressure that if EFT doesn't work for your issue there is something the matter with you as a person. You can find out more about this on the www.emofree.com website.
*thought i'd go thru all my new gather friend's posts!! thanks for being a gather friend!*
She is a lovely spirit and I often hear her whisper EFT as I suffer through something. She lives, both in my imagination and heart, as I belief she lives in the reality of the spirit dimension.
Merry Christmas, Carolion and blessings to your child(ren) and grand child(ren) and your many friends. May Peace and Acceptance of your changes bless their lives, just as your existance has blessed them and all of us.
