I have been to Europe and it was nice but I always choose the Hawaiian paradise.
Mahalo!
This would be at the bottom of my list.
Southeast Asia would rank close to the top of the list. I've been to Taiwan, (2 years), Bangkok, Thailand, (2 years), visited Philippines, Okinawa, Japan, Guam,
Wake Island. SE Asia was very intriguing to me. You would see something new every day. I was impressed with how the people could make do with nothing. It gave me a new and stronger appreciation for being an American.
I have been to all but 5 of the United States. I have not been to the upper east coast. I think that one of the most beautiful places in the U.S. is Jackson Hole, Wyoming. The Grand Teton mountains are an awesome sight. Really enjoyed the Yellowstone Park and the miniature Grand Canyon.
I've also been to Germany, and Spain. I did enjoy my visit to Spain on vacation. I only passed through Germany. I was able to view the White Cliffs of Dover as my ship passed through the English Channel.
I've been privileged to see a great deal of this world and would be hard pressed to pick my most favorite place. There is nothing like home, the good ole United States.
Oh yes, I almost forgot, Canada and Mexico. Had a great time in Acapulco. Canada was OK but nothing to write home about.
I also spent a weekend in Florence Italy...it was like I had stepped into my Art History book from college. Amazing place....and so fun to be able to say that I spent a weekend in Florence.
My time in Europe also gave me a greater appreciation for the conveniences we all tend to take for granted.
Thanks to all those who have served and are serving! You deserve respect
