Sunrise in my soul, Sunrise in New Mexico

Me, I have undergone some kind of genuine metamorphosis  -- the butterfly has emerged from its cocoon. The difference is so extraordinary that I will add May 13th to my short list of anniversaries to celebrate.  It's as if everything that has been building, evolving and growing in my soul-being for my entire life has finally broken forth into the manifest world, and I am very different while remaining the same.  I love this new, expanded persona! (Note my new signature...)

Lessee, what else? Oh, I am now officially a freelance newspaper reporter and photographer for a publication called "Steppin' Out New Mexico", a guide to fine art and entertainment thru out the state.  I am also officially an advertising sales rep for them as well.  They publish every 2 months, and what I really like about writing the articles is that, as opposed to most newspapers where the reporter reports on what has already happened, I get to write about what has not yet happened. That suits my unique personality perfectly!

Also, I may have already told you, I am the new Secretary/Treasurer of the Valencia County chapter of the New Mexico State Poetry Society, and I received my first official, engraved plaque for winning 1st place in the Valley Visions Cultural Art Festival in April. I also got a $50 gift certificate! Cool, huh?

What's remarkable to me is, that day I woke up at 6am, and GOT UP VOLUNTARILY! That's a FIRST in my lifetime - part of the new, improved me, I guess.  I let the dogs out, saw the incredible pre-sunrise dawn, grabbed my camera and took about 45 photos as the sun was rising.
