The Millionaire Maker: Acheiving Wealth and Financial Freedom

Hi, Loral Langemeier here. I have a new group, The Millionaire Maker, that I would like to invite all Gather members to join.

Within this space, we are going to be engaging in a conversation about money—your money. This is a different conversation than you may be used to, but it will get you thinking about the right way to build your wealth and lead the life you want. Not the life you have to lead. As part of our conversation you will learn to act, think and make money the way millionaires do.

Born and raised on a farm in Nebraska, I did not start out in life with money or connections. At home our conversation about money was restricted to scrimping-and-saving for the future. I admire my parents for their strength and success, BUT, I said to myself, "I don't want to do this anymore. I am going to live my dreams." I learned (and keep learning!) everything I could about building wealth. I found experts and mentors to help me change my conversations about money. Then I made a plan, got into action and have never looked back.

I built my first business in high school, and by the time I was 34, I'd established a multi-million-dollar portfolio of properties, businesses, gas/oil properties and notes. I have now written two best-selling books, with my next one due out in June. I am the Founder and CEO of Live Out Loud (www.liveoutloud.com), my nation-wide educational and wealth-building company committed to empowering people like you to take responsibility for their financial lives and achieve financial freedom.

I look forward to sharing with you all the success strategies that I have learned on my own journey to financial freedom and now share in forums like this and the Live Out Loud community. Our conversations over the coming months will be different from the ones you are having now. Get ready to talk about achieving wealth and financial freedom.

Hello Loral! Though I am 78 years old and on the other side of making a fortune I am interested in what new ideas might be out there and maybe one of your ideas might bounce off of me a help somebody somewhere. I came out of the Arkansas bayou bottoms when I was twelve years old and as the great depression of the 1930s was ending. I had the willingness and plenty of dreams but I ran on idle for a few years simply because I was bound by my roots and a career crippling introversion. However after being in the army during the Korean War and being shot in Alabama in a month long labor dispute I broke out of my shell. After exploring the jungle that are south of the Panam Canal and on down into Colombia for riches and running contraband out of the dutyfree warehouses in the Canal Zone we made a lot of money but I would not reccomend that because it is dangerous, besides it is extremely hard to bring that money home. Then I became Vice President of operations of a international company that designed and constructed explosive and chemical fertlizer plants. Then I doubled up by dealing in real estate in Alanta. What I am trying to point out is that there is a multitude of fortunes that are never realized simple because the potential is never reckoned with.

Thank you Loral for your kind invitation. As someone who is fed up of scrimping (no savings) since my divorce and a teenage child I have been looking for something I can earn money while I still remain at home (not lazy, home-school and my child wishes to go on being educated this way until 19). Just got packet from Red Hot Penny Shares but it turns out you need a lot of money to make money (around £500), they lured me in by saying you can invest a little or a lot, not realising that their little, was a lot. lol

I am a stay at home mom of 4 and hubby is working his hind end off at the railroad. I would love to find a way to make/earn/save enough that he could retire from this dangerous line of work. It is so hard on him physically and he works ungodly hours that keeps him from really knowing our growing family.

I'll listen, but i must say that I have my ???? up - I generally don't believe in something for nothing, but rather that reward requires risk, and I, and many others, can't afford the risk of loss

Mariana- So true! I cherish the time I spend with my family, we love hiking and skiing together every chance we get. The cash flow I have coming in as well as the teams I have built enable me to be financially free and have the life I have always wanted.

Shawnee- Sounds like you need a Cash Machine. Cash Machines can provide you with the cash flow you need to get out of your life cycle and get into a wealth cycle. You want to start one that is based on your own skill sets. You will see that the hours put into a business that produces cash flow will be much more rewarding then those put into a W2. Steve- Good for you, you should never stop asking questions and doing your due diligence. When it comes to your education and actual investments being made, you should always ask questions, be in control and understand your risk tolerance. We talk a lot in my community about how to understand and mitigate risk. Did you see my article on Direct Investing? I talk a lot about risk there.

Lisa, It is key is to understand and get control of your investments. Everyone is different, but there are many other opportunities for investing besides Wall Street. Did you read my article on Direct Investing?

Met you on the Wealth Cruise and I am definitely ready to get started creating a better life. Very tired of the struggle to survive and ask permission for time off. I appreciate your help to lead me in this direction.

Loral,
I am on disability and have yet to see how I will ever be able to get past living check to check and needing food stamps and hand me down clothes. If it wasn't for the VA I am sure that I wouldn't even be alive today, they got me through breast cancer in '01 and help me with pain management for my disabling spine injury from '99. So how are you going to help someone like me? I would be happy to simply be financialy independant, can I do that?

My thoughts are much like those of Michelle E. I cant figure out how to get past just survival. I have nothing left over to invest or even to save much less to risk. I realize that it has a lot to do with changing how I think about money. However, my family has to eat and keep a roof over our head ( we've been homeless multiple times and we don't want to do it ever again!). I am looking forward to hearing how you do what you do.
