This just happened to a good friend of mine. She called me so upset. She went on a job interview, and it was three hours long. After the interview, the interviewer wrote an article ripping her apart. She has a website whereby she rips people apart.
The job was as an editor and all I can say after reading the article is the woman is an idiot who could use an editor.
Does anyone know how to get something either removed or at least not be the first thing that comes up when one's name is googled.
My friend is afraid this will ruin her chances getting a job.
It's slander in my opinion but if you can't prove damages I don't think there's much she can do about it.
Any help?
PS This woman has a whole list of people she's done this to. It seems to me to be lawsuit waiting to happen.

of what to do
Carol, sorry.........
If her cease and desist letter does not work, she should contact an attorney.
If the interviewer has named her, then this is certainly cause for alarm that justifies pursuing just about any legal avenue open to her!
I am just thinking there is strength in numbers and if they all pooled their resources, they could not only maybe get this stuff removed but also get a judge to make it so the person could not do this to others in the future.
Second, there may be libel laws that the web page violates.
Third, one may take some consolation that any publicity is better than no publicity.
Fourth, I sure hope that doesn't happen to me. :-( She has my sympathy.
If your friend should happen to find there is little legally she can do, then she can always consider giving that person a big dose of her own medicine?
Short of being a plaintif for libel, the only way is to beat the site down.
touch with the other people that this person also did that too.
Send a Letter to this person and insist they remove it or
risk of a lawsuit.
That is just horrible. how can people be so cruel?
If her name was mentioned that would be libel.
