Hershey's Chocolate is Made in Mexico?

Please tell me this is not true.  Not Hershey's chocolate.  I don't know how you feel about this, but outsourcing cost my husband a job and I will not support a company that sends it's production overseas.  I hope this isn't true on so many levels including sanitation and American jobs.

Let me know.  Look at your Hershey Candy Bar, and bring it back to the store, if it's made in Mexico.  Maybe US companies will take a hint, or they can depend on the Mexican economy to support their treacherous rear ends.

Ok, I decided to search this and found this: http://www.snopes.com/politics/business/hersheys.asp

Hersey is cutting some jobs, closing some plants but not everything.
I'd be surprised to find something that wasn't made either in Mexico, China or some other place, other than the USA. Better check Nestle while we're at it, hmmm?

Time to get out of NAFTA, perhaps? It sure hasn't helped the USA...

They cut a lot of jobs last year and DID ship them to Mexico. I haven't bought Hershey Kisses since they are Mexico Kisses now.

I'm not aware of any large cuts to employment in Hershey (we live about an hour away) but I know that for a long time they have had other plants and if there are some in Mexico it isn't a recent development.

I heard this quite some time ago and couldn't believe they would do this. Once all the factories move out we can be just one big urban area coast to coast.

According to snopes.com, it's definitely not a recent move. Boycotting Hershey's products could have a reverse effect by harming the US operations rather than helping them stay viable. It's a hard choice to make.

This is soooo true and soooo wrong! You can tell by the way they "mold" the Hershey's Kisses and the wrappers are tight and VERY difficult to get off, the texture is also totally different - I normally avoid chocolate due to the caffiene in it but when I want some chocolate I USED to get Hershey Kisses - not anymore!

JUST LIKE GM ECT.. They build things in other countries, cheaper then sell it like it was made here. Shouldn't the price be lower if it was built cheaper.
