Citigroup is trying to get around the bailout policy of not giving bonuses by giving 50% raises. They say that they need to be able to keep and attract good people. Now, if that were true why did they not have good people who got them into trouble?
This whole bailout thing stinks. The government made rules that banks had to follow, banks got greedy, we pay bailout, and interest to these guys.
I ask you is this smart? Is this change? Stop the bailouts. I don't blame this administration for this. This has been going on, but enough. Shut these people down. I m so angry if Citigroup gets away with this, and the administration should not have to change the playing rules because Citigroup believes in greed. Give the money back.
What's wrong with our country is we are so "FAIR" We have to stop being manipulated by greedy banks and insurance companies with lawyers we pay to screw us.

Yes, and it's not just Citigroup either. Look at all of those banks that got bail-out funds that also have a few overseas accounts - untraceable? Stop the bail-outs is right.
Carol hell froze over...I agree with you.
The only reason I was somewhat OK with the bailouts is because I didnt want the average Joe at Citibank and other companies to be unemployed.
This pisses me off.
Give the workers a raise that I could go for.
None of these CEO's of late or most anyway are worth a spit.
Attract good people blah...all they are attracting is the greedy ones.
Lori........alright......
what happens when you pi** off an Iowan ? ? ?
you get ME..........hahaha......
I will take you Randee but leave the Citigroup people in the dust.
And the credit card companies are all raising their interest rated now before the bill of rights go through. They all greedy.
I still say the money went the wrong direction.....trickle down doesn't always work.....the people needed to stimulate the economy and consumer confidence......this all would have all been eleviated..........
if they KEEP those people that put them in that situation; what do they think will happen?
get rid of all banking CEO's, CFO's & all the other O's. let some of the loyal, low on the totem pole employees run these companies.
i hope someone finds the b*lls to put these greedy people in their place.
Well CitiBank does have a long history of not playing by the rules. They were almost banned from Texas once because of fraudulent practices.
