Starbucks is introducing a breakfast value meal. Yup, just like it's blue-collar, fast-food sisters.
Starbucks says its introducing the breakfast value meals in response to “economic pressures facing its customers.”
The Starbucks breakfast value meals cost $3.95 and will be available all day... but not for all time. Starbucks says its breakfast value meal offer will expire March 3rd.
Starbucks is under growing financial pressure and faces competition from fast-food chain McDonald’s, which now offers espresso-based coffee drinks.
The company recently announced it will slash 6,700 jobs and close an additional 300 stores. For the fiscal quarter that ended Dec. 28, Starbucks reported profit of $64.3 million, a 70 percent decline from the same quarter a year ago.
