Goody's is a clothing company mainly in the south. It's fairly large, though, with several hundred stores. Two years ago, the company went through reorganization bankruptcy two years ago. Local business analysts, though, say it may be going down for the count this time.
The company has immediately suspended its in-house charge, the sale of gift cards and the rental of tuxedos. It is honoring gift cards, so if you have one, I would spend it soon.
Goody's has been around since 1991 but the quality of clothing has gone downhill while the prices are higher. I also hate shopping there because the racks are too darn close together.
I suppose Goody's may be one of the casualties of the recession, huh?
Now, for us bargain hunters, does this mean a good clearance could be on the way?

Maybe it's not just the recession. Maybe they suffer from poor business decisions like not checking up on the quality of the merchandise they are purchasing.
Just FYI, it's not connected to the music store.
Thanks for all the comments. I hope everyone has a good Sunday!
