I'm already a member and sure hope they fix the site soon. I have never had a post removed on Gather, but have had many removed at mylot. They won't even tell you why its removed. I have never used any "questionable words" or content. I enjoy posting on Gather.

Thanks I will check this out. I recently joined epinions.com, and they have had a promotion with a dollar per review. I have not tried to actually be paid yet, but supposedly they pay royalties for readership. Their royalty rules are bit vague though, they claim it is to decrease fraud, but who knows. Anyway, if it actually pays out, it seems to be a good site.

Thanks for the response Lauren. I think I am getting the hang of it. It is just a little overwhelming at first.

The way I find is nice to join groups is I click on the articles tab at the top - you then get more tabs that say recent, highest rated, most read, by me, etc. (the by me tab is handy for finding your own stuff - took me a while to figure that one out - hee hee - I am very new too!) Anyway, then click on one of those tabs and look for an article that sounds interesting - then look at the groups the writer of said article is in - hover your pointer over that group and click on it - that will take you to that group, you can then read more things by the people in that group, or just go to the left side and there will be an orange button that says join this group... click on that and the rest should be self explanatory.
Another way is to go to your people... look at the groups they are in and proceed in the same manner.
Or type something into one of the tag search areas (an area, idea, object, something you're interested in) and anything could come up - again proceed in above manner.

Great info, I will have to check this one out. I do not know when I will have time for another site like this one though. hehe, this one takes up a lot of my time. I just love all of the content on Gather, it makes it hard for me to go anywhere else. :-)
