Bush said Obama deserved his silence, and he has stood by that statement. He probably is taking a much needed long vacation at his ranch in Crawford, and probably regretting he chose Dick Cheney to be his vice-president,
The 'ranch' in Taxes is long gone.................it was just a fake place to stage the fake folksy lifestyle and phony persona that he used to dupe the RR. Appreciate his being low key tho and wish he actually had some control over the rest of his cohorts that keep stirring the pot that has long since boiled dry!
If you were Bush, in this economy, with everyone loving Obama (and recently hating Bush) and Cheney being an ass over waterboarding and such, would YOU be out glad handing? I know I'd head to Crawford and stay there!

Yes, he is wise to l lie low, but I do think that he is ashamed or he would not do so. I simply do not remember any other ex-president going into hiding. If I had to guess I would say that he in in Dallas hanging out with his rich friends who shield him. But why does no one know anything!
Bush is making the bucks off of speaking engagements and writing his book. I agree that he's probably embarrassed by going out after being dubbed the "worst president ever" so he doesn't seek much media attention. I have to say I'm surprised he has the good sense to lay low!
He is doing the right thing by laying low. I don't understand, though, why Cheney keeps being active and vocal, especially having left with an approval rating lower than Bush's!

I didn't know what he was doing either, before reading some of the replies. I think cheney is talking enough for the both of them though, I don't know I've seen an ex vice president talk so much after leaving office :-)
