I have been following politics for a long time. I don't recall seeing as much enthusiasm for a candidate as there is for Barack Hussein Obama.
The airwaves are full of his effluvia about "hope" and "change," but I've never heard any subsequent commentary by him, or his surrogates (to include the intense Michelle Obama-his "mama") to expound on just what "hope" is being offered, and what kind of "change" we can expect.
So I am asking you, fellow Gatherites. What have I missed?
What is Obama's message of "hope and change" all about?
I've never heard him explain anything specific, have you?

So for the end of my point over here.
Everyone want peace!
Everyone desire a free nation where all can exjoy the blessing of freedom!
Then why we dont have it?
The two towers didnt fall in the 9/11
The firts one fall when they took out prayers out of school
the second when they try to took every sculpture dedicated to go and put him away from court.
Everyone who sees this... Have you seen the difference since all that happen?? after clinton took prayer out, kids where bringing weapons to schools, more young people were experimenting with drungs, the national security when down, the economy fall, and even after all this, we been attacked by terrorist attacks!!!
The question is... Why we didnt get attacked before?
Simply. God was under our side. So politics, are just alot of piece of crap...
You can go there and download Obama's blueprint for change; Obama's Plan For America.
He has carpet bombed the airwaves of Ohio with ads on radio and tv. I am so sick of this slick tongued lizard that I can't stand it! :)
Are you sure you can't see that he is special?
Obama is special. Obama is special. He will be president. He's wanted to be president since he was six-years-old. Barrack is special.

on 2nd thought go right ahead
Go ahead ...... make a fool of yourself.
Thanks Lori. (smooches)
Very interesting.
Obama is very charismatic and has a wonderful story, but in my humble opinion needs more experience and substance.
The only thing you missed is allowing yourself to be taken in by Obama's charisma.
Hmm?
Look: I'm not wild about Obama, Hillary or McCain for that matter.
My guy, Mitt Romney was the victim of some anti-Mormon bias/slime courtesy of Governor Schmuck-abee. I'm not a Mormon, but I am STILL pissed that a man's religon can be held against him.
Nevertheless, the point I wish to make is this: You can be for any candidate that you wish, so long as you respect one another. You can even vigorously disagree, but do so with a little class, and don't personally attack the person you are disagreeing with.
I don't like the 3 schmoes we are left, but l don't want us killing each other over it, for goodness sake. I know a lot of nice people on this site, Lori F. for example, whom I'd like to stay friends with and hopefully connect with some day.
Let's stop this shi*ting on each other when we disagree, OK?
The last thing that would take me in is charisma. I'm not even taken in by a woman's charisma, let alone the charisma of a toothy, skinny, big-eared, skinny-assed black man.
Get real, honey!

Will he trod out the above names when he gets the nomination?
What bothers me about this "phenomenon" is that people have made this man "more than a man."
JFK during the Cuban Missile Crisis relied on advice from a whole host of people from Nixon, to Eisenhower, to name a few. But one of the things RIchard Reeves brings out in his book Profile in Power is the portrait of a man who was wholly out of his league in the job as POTUS. Kennedy was overmatched when he went up against Nikita Khruschev; he was lost during the Bay of Pigs fiasco, and he badly mismanaged our involvement in Vietnam.
There is a price for inexperience. Barack mirrors JFK in so many ways it is scarrier than hell itself.

I think you misunderstood my comment about not being taken in by Obama's charisma. It was meant as a compliment, but your reasons for not being taken in by Obama's charisma make me wonder if it was as misplaced compliment.
