One of the best parts of my recent vacation

I have been best friends with Dee since the 2nd grade...yes, 23 years! We were connected at the hip forever, but then in the 9th grade, she and her mother moved to Florida.  I was devastated and did not know how our friendship would endure the great distance between us.  Dee remained in Florida, but would come up for the summers and school vacations.  One summer, we worked together at Subway, which was a complete blast!

Over the years we have stayed in touch with one another and whenever one of us visits the state that we live in, we always get together.  When I was in Florida a week ago, my hubby, me, our oldest son, and youngest son met Dee and her hubby and their son at Olive Garden for dinner.  We had such a blast and ended up staying at the restaurant for 3 hours! Whenever we get together, it's like we have never been apart.  We also still have the ability to read one another's thoughts...I know that sounds strange, but we have always been able to do that. 

Meeting up with her for only 3 hours was the best moment of my vacation really.  I love her like she is my sister and our friendship has endured so many tests.  Here are some pictures of us being silly and trying to get a good picture.
