My Sad Vent for Tonight! Gave 1 of My Cats Away!

I got rid of one of my cats tonight we gave him away, well the problem is I've had him for 2 yrs and i do love him so dearly but he got so agressive and never knew why... his dad we still have and Tinsey the one we gave away atarted tryin to grab him by the throat and wouldn't let go, we were afraid he would end up killing Ash so we had to give him away. I feel bad cuz I feel i failed some how i mean i raised all the kittens him and his brothers and siter and all came out agressive just like there mom. There mom was a calico that my ex roomate had and she was just so hateful u couldn't even pet her...i thought it was just her cuz he had found her behind a dumpster in town one day so i figured it was cuz she was probably mistreated but her kittens acted just like her...all but one Rusty came out more like Ash very loving ...matter a fact so loving someone stole him. I'm sorry for venting i just needed to get this off my chest... and i guess what bothers me is the last one i gave away...Jinx which was Tinsey's brother when he got to the womans house he took off... so I'm afraid that Tinsey might do the same then i feel even worse for letting him go. Anyways I'm off here now back to uploading photos i guess... sorry for taking everyones time up.

We just got one of our cats back today, that seems so unfair that I can get one back and you had to give one away,what a cruel world.

Some cats are just like that. I had a cat that someone dumped into my feral colony. He seemed friendly after being neutered so I was going to rehome him. He was in a HUGE cage on our deck and when the woman came to see him, he ran off. He came back and would let me hold him but he would kind of attack my feet. Eventually I couldn't get out of the house without spraying him with the squirt gun he was so aggressive. Finally, one day, I was holding him, went to set him down and he just bit me. He broke the skin and I dropped him and he bit my leg.

Long and short of it was he had to be put down for rabies testing. It turned into a big fiasco. I felt so awful. I cried for days. Of course he didn't have rabies. I think some cats just cannot get over whatever bad stuff has happened in their past. Hopefully by being a cat in his own surroundings, he will thrive and learn to trust his people. You did the right thing - sometimes the right thing isn't the easy thing and it requires bravery. It will work itself out. You were brave!

Sometimes the attitudes can be allergies, just likke in people. Maybe what ever was triggering it, our the problem was, the new people might be able to find a cure for it.
